The new year is here and we have found new ways to become more materialistic then we were last year. It's amazing how the most common disease and the most common obsession spreads so far. Don't get me wrong, I love luxury but I can live without it. In my short quarter century of life, I've been wealth enough and I've lived in poverty too. But most people cant adopt.I am a regular viewer of The Suzi Orman Show and it is hilarious looking at what junk people want to buy when they have no money.
The all new nano car is a magnificent piece of engineering and has a great price. But it is another tool to make more people more materialist. I know a person who neglected his fathers health because he did not want to take leave from his job, probably because he didnt want to scare his professional reputation. His father died soon after because of a clot in his brain caused by an accident. I was in exactly the same situation, but in my life dad has a higher priority anytime. My dad was lucky for his clot healed. I respect my company but no wealth in life can bring my dad back.
There are so many incidents of such thing happening all around. We have brothers killing brothers and fathers, mothers burning daughters and daughter-in-laws and all this will continue.
When will all this stop? It will when the day we can walk into a shop and pick anything we want free of cost and there is never any shortage of anything.
